Spain vs Germany 2-1

The match was very dynamic and exciting. It was take and be taken. Germany had some nice interceptions and penetrating passes to the left flank but too slow to make the finish, while Spain had a threatening fast paced attack but the finish was blocked or off target. Germany had a few good chances but the connection was weak each time. Ball possession was a bit more on the German side. Despite how well both sides did, it was still a scoreless stalemate in the first half.

Spain looked the more threatening side in attack and they finally broke through in the 51st minute as Olmo came from behind and scored. Germany tried to reply back and Spain looked for counters. Germany had some shortcomings in the finish and thought too much; their attacking form was not good. However, they didn't give up, persisted in attack, and equalized in the 88th minute.

In extra time, Germany tried to go forward but the finish was lackluster. While Spain was more lethal on target as they scored in the final minute of extra time.

Portugal vs France 0-0 (PSO 3-5)

It was neck and neck. There were close chances on both sides but none converted. Thus, it came down to penalty shootout. France started first and scored. Ronaldo was the first kicker for Portugal and he scored as well. Second and third kickers scored for France. The third kicker for Portugal, on the other hand, hit the post and did not score. All five kickers for France scored so they moved on to the next round.

England vs Switzerland 1-1 (PSO 5-3)

England dominated in possession but had difficulty passing to the front line. They tried to make plays from the back but just kept back passing as they lacked creativity in penetration. It was unfortunate that Kane was not the focus of play as he didn't get the ball much. When he did have it, he'd mostly pass it. Whenever Switzerland had the chance to attack, they looked more threatening. In the 75th minute, Switzerland finally broke through and scored. Thus, it was time for England to equalize. England was roaming around in the back as usual then Saka suddenly gave a long range shot a try and it worked. That invigorated them. Switzerland took possession but failed to score so they went into extra time. Not much changed during extra time, so it was on to penalties. England kicked first and succeeded in scoring. Switzerland, on the other hand, got blocked. For the second to fourth kickers, both teams scored. In the end, the final fifth player for England scored so England won.

Netherlands vs Türkiye 2-1

Netherlands had more possession but Türkiye got on the scoreboard first in first half. Netherlands kept knocking on the door and eventually broke through in the 70th minute from a corner kick to a cross that was connected with a header. Momentum was on Netherland's side and they kept going forward and scored another from a cross to the centre. Türkiye tried to come back but their efforts were in vain.
